Good to know
The cottage has been the family home for 100 years as of 2024! It was the first property of all the surrounding properties built in 1693 originally as a farm then turned into 4 smaller homes for the local miners before being turned back into one larger cottage. The "R + A" on the 1693 Datestone is for Richard and Anne, the original owners. The cottage offers a cosy and comfortable stay with stunning views of the surrounding hills, valleys, and forests. You can explore the picturesque countryside, go hiking, mountain biking, or simply relax in the peaceful and serene surroundings. Rossendale is the perfect getaway destination to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
Other Details to Note

Water village is quite remote, so the best option for public travel is by Bus. The closest bus stop is about 60 second walk from the house right next to the Water Trough Bistro and there are regular busses to Burnley town centre, where there are shops, restaurants etc and where you can catch busses to other towns and cities. The closest train station is at Burnley Manchester Road and is a short drive or bus ride away (approx 10 minutes).
